About Kiren

Kiren is an international portrait and fashion photographer based in Sydney, with a career spanning more than 25 years across the editorial, communications, fashion and film industries.

A graduate of the University of New South Wales - College of Art & Design, Kiren holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. His formal training provided the artistic foundations that continue to inform his distinctive approach to image-making.

Throughout his career, Kiren has worked with global brands, leading fashion magazines and major media organisations, and has been represented by respected photography agents. His experience across editorial and commercial photography has given him an ability to work with both creative freedom and precision, often in demanding environments where there is little room for error.

Almost a decade working in New York had a particularly profound influence on his approach. It was an intense and creatively stimulating period that taught him to think quickly, push ideas further and remain calm under pressure. It was also where he began to develop a more personal visual language - one shaped by the energy of the city, documentary photography, cinema, fashion and classic portraiture.

Today, his work is strongly influenced by his editorial and cinematic background. He is drawn to authenticity, creating images that are intimate and deeply human. Kiren is available for commercial and editorial commissions, as well as private portrait sessions, in Sydney and beyond.
