Editorial Style Wedding Photography
Can you describe what editorial style wedding photography is?
Having an established background as a portrait photographer for magazines like Vogue, Elle and GQ, my aim is to provide couples with a boutique alternative to traditional wedding photography. The look is more natural and subtle, and avoids the usual cliches. I’ve also had two decades of experience working with professional models and actors and so have perfected the art of using light, camera angels and direction in order to make people look great in their photographs.
How would you describe your approach on the day?
As with all my photography shoots, my approach is always focused and relaxed. I’ve been a yoga teacher for 16 years and so have the ability to keep myself and the people around me calm when under pressure. As a photographer there is a certain calmness that comes from having 25 years of experience working on film and photography sets.
What photography options can you provide?
I offer both intimate and large scale options. Some couples are just looking for ceremony and portraits only which are popular with smaller gathering,. I also provide photography for full scale events that can go on for days.
Do you offer engagement portraits?
Indeed. This is a great opportunity to work together before the ceremony. Engagement portraits are done in a relaxed environment so as we can focus solely on achieving great photography.
Do you provide digital files or wedding albums?
I supply high resolution digital files which enable couples to design and print their own wedding album. There are many great online services where the digital files can be uploaded, offering a selection of contemporary page layouts and stylish covers.
Where are you available?
Current travel restrictions aside, I’m based in Sydney Australia but usually work worldwide.
